You must be 18 years of age or older as of November 14, 2025 (or as of the date you attend your first club meetup) to join DWC. A USAW card and SafeSport certification are not required to join our waitlist. Individuals on the waitlist without a USAW card will agree to completing the required SafeSport education requirements and purchasing a USAW card within ~3 days of receiving an invitation to join DWC. Denver Wrestling Club / USAW Dues

Denver Wrestling Club exists due to the dedication of our all volunteer coaching staff. They allow our club to offer an affordable and fun way for members to learn and practice amateur freestyle, folksytyle, and greco-roman wrestling.

Denver Wrestling Club Dues (2025-2026 season)
$230.00 per season

2026 USA Wrestling Athlete Membership Card
$70.00 annually (includes required courses for US Center for SafeSport Certification)
(Purchased from USA Wrestling)

  • USAW membership cards expire each year on August 31st and must be renewed annually.

  • Members attending a club meetup must possess a 2026 USAW membership card to be on the mats - NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • DWC members with a USAW card will receive:

    • Full mat privileges at all of our weekly meetups

    • Secondary medical insurance (coverage provided by USA Wrestling)

    • Denver Wrestling Club tee shirt

Wrestling Requirements

Denver Wrestling Club is open to adults over the age of 18 with an interest in learning and practicing the sport of freestyle and folkstyle wrestling. This includes wrestlers of all skill levels irrespective of height, weight, race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or physical disability.

Wrestler requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have purchased a 2026 USAW card and completed SafeSport training and certification*

  • Commit to attending as many of our weekly Friday night open mat and training sessions as possible

*Note: A 2026 USAW card and SafeSport certification does not guarantee membership in Denver Wrestling Club. New memberships are granted based on room capacity.

Club Wrestling Meetups

During season, Denver Wrestling Club holds weekly wrestling meetups on Friday evenings in the Wheat Ridge HS wrestling room. Wrestling meetups consist of group warmups, training and drilling with our coaches (full group, small group, and one and one), live wrestling, wrestling games, and plenty of open mat time.

Wrestling Gear

What do I wear? Proper attire for our weekly wrestling meetups includes:

  • Wrestling shoes (mandatory)

  • Gym shorts, sweats or leg tights, wrestling singlet, tee shirt or rash guard

  • Other protective gear as needed, such as kneepads, ear or mouth guards

Supporting Memberships

Denver Wrestling Club offers non-wrestling supporting memberships for those who want to support our club without getting onto the mat. If you would like to become a supporting member please contact us.

Wrestling Tournaments

Participation of club members in open/adult wrestling tournaments sanctioned by USAW/WWB or any other governing body is voluntary.
